"LOL...OMG!" Summary

Image
Hello All, College has changed so much in today's society, due to the use of technology. In the book “Lol…Omg!” By Matt Ivester, he begins his book off by talking about how technology has changed today's college students lives.  Ivester talks about the ways that technology has changed the learning aspect in both the lives of the teachers and the students. He states, “Technology is completely changing the way that teachers teach and students learn—improving both exponentially”. Talking about how It is so easy now a days to simple go online and search something up rather than struggling to find It in a textbook. Twitter PLN information

Building a PLN on twitter isn't all that hard! Many people are creating twitter accounts to gain free professional help from those around the world. You can be gaining useful information from someone in the UK from the USA! You are choosing who you follow and who follows you (if you are on a private account setting).  In order to start your PLN on twitter, you need to have at least 10 followers, so twitter does not think that you are a scam account. In order to do so, you need to follow 10 people as well, that's the only way that they are going to see that your account is an actual thing. On my PLN, since I am going for physical therapy, I followed 10 physical therapist from all around the world.  Once you follow them, you are going to want to start to engage with their twitter. Re tweet things that they are tweeting, like their tweets, tweet back at them. You would also want to search for twitter chats that interest you, search for hash ...

Shelly Terrell , an international speaker, learning and digital learning specialist and author, created a video talking about all different ways you can connect to the world using the twitter app. She states that using twitter is a useful and easy way to get your word around to the experts in your specific field.       Twitter being called the Proffesional Learning Network, gives an easy way to Engage, Educate, and Report, easily to those who are interested in the same thing that you are or who are in your specific field. Shelly Terrell explains that around 20% of the time is you tweeting your blog post, or new information about yourself that you want others to see, and the other 80% is making sure you are creating relationships with those you are with on twitter. Posting tweets that are educational can help those following you learn more, and vice-versa! You can report infor...
